Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Benefits Service Northern Ireland

A Macmillan funded service, in partnership with a range of local advice centres, can provide free and impartial advice, support and assistance for the financial aspects of a cancer diagnosis.  This includes help with checking entitlement to social security benefits and grants as well as assistance with making applications and challenging decisions.

Advisors are available by telephone helpline and are based in hospitals and local offices.  The service is available across Northern Ireland.

Macmillan Information and Support Services Northern Ireland
There is a Macmillan Information and Support Service in every Trust area, linked to your local Cancer Unit. They provide free information and confidential support to people living with cancer, as well as their carers, friends and family.  They can offer benefits advice, counselling and complementary therapies, as well as practical help such as transport to hospital, help at home and questions about work or travel insurance
