COVID- 19 & PALLIATIVE CARE – Advice for Health and Social Care Professionals
Given the current Coronavirus pandemic, the Palliative Care in Partnership (PCiP) programme recognise that many of our partners and stakeholders across Northern Ireland are providing palliative and end of life care in challenging circumstances.
The key components of palliative and end of life care include effective symptom control, complex decision-making and the holistic care of physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs therefore a palliative care approach is fundamental to offering quality care and support to patients and those close to them during this COVID-19 outbreak.
The PCiP Programme is keen to support our partners and stakeholders and have set up this web page to share regional tools, guidance and information relating to COVID -19 which may be of help to health and social care professionals caring for people with end of life care needs across all care settings in Northern Ireland.
The Palliative Care in Partnership Programme will continue to add resources to this page as they become available. If you have any resources which may be relevant please send them to diane.walker2@hscni.net
